Ghost with a hat - amigurumi free pattern

Ghost (chenille yarn, 3mm hook, white+black+grey(optional))

R1: MR 6 [6]

R2: inc x 6 [12]

R3: (sc, inc) x 6 [18]

R4: (sc, inc, sc) x 6 [24]

R5: (3sc, inc) x 6 [30]

R6 – R12: sc x 30 [30]

R13: BLO – (3sc, dec) x 6 [24]

R14: (2sc, dec) x 6 [18]

Add stuffing evenly

Attach safety eyes to the ghost ……..

R15: (sc, dec) x 6 [12]

R16: dec x 6 [6]

Cut off the yarn leaving a long tail for sewing.

Pull the yarn through a tapestry needle.

Close off by sewing in and out of each of the 6 stitches, as shown in the image.

Then tie a knot through one of the yarn strings and pull it out from any other section of the Ghost’s body. Cut the yarn and stab the yarn inside the ghost. (can use a GIF)

 

Now from the R13 of the ghost body

FLO ( 3 HDC, slst) – repeat it through the whole round.

 

For the ghost hat use a black/purple yarn

R1: MR 4

R2: (sc, inc) x 2 [6]

R3: (2sc, inc) x 2 [8]

R4: (3sc, inc) x 2 [12]

R5: (4sc, inc) x 2 [14]

R6: (5sc, inc) x 2 [16]

Change to a lighter-colored yarn. If you are using a black yarn then you can change to purple/grey. If you are using a purple yarn, then you can change it to orange/yellow/white.

R7: sc x 16 [16]

Change back to your main yarn (black/purple)

R8: (HDC inc) x 16

FO, cut off a long tail and sew the tail into the inside of the hat with a tapestry needle.

 

Now, attach the hat to the head of the ghost on the side. Use a thin acrylic yarn to sew or a hot glue gun to just quickly paste.

 

To make a keychain out of the ghost’s body, use a white acrylic yarn of 3 ply.

Use a needle to insert the yarn through the base of the ghost and pull through the head. Pass the yarn through the keychain and back from the head to the base. But this time pull out the yarn through the same stitch and cut off. 

Now tie the beginning and the ends together. Cut off the excess yarn and stab the knot into the body.
